AINU PATTERN
This season, we focused on the patterns of the Ainu people, an indigenous group rooted in Hokkaido, and visited the region. At the Symbolic Space for Ethnic Harmony (Upopoy) in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, we saw various clothing and everyday items featuring different colors, patterns, and shapes. We also drew inspiration from kimonos by Shimako Yamazaki, an Ainu traditional craft artist. The organic patterns often imitate nature and carry wishes for protection against evil. Each design holds meaning, reflecting the Ainu’s belief that all things in nature possess a soul. We are captivated by the strength of people who live with a strong sense of identity and pride and their sincere approach to life in beautiful, majestic nature. We wanted to incorporate these beautiful patterns and the consciousness they represent into our everyday clothing.
Shimako Yamazaki
Craft artist and Ainu culture bearer. Resides in Shiraoi, Hokkaido. Worked at the former Ainu Museum, focusing on the reproduction of traditional Ainu crafts, particularly women’s handiwork. As a member of the Shiraoi Ethnic Performing Arts Preservation Society, she is dedicated to the preservation and transmission of Ainu traditional dance. Yamazaki formed the traditional craft circle “Tekekarpe,” striving to revive and preserve traditional crafts while actively training the next generation through numerous lectures and workshops. 3 TYPES OF SNOW PATTERN
The sight of falling snow is enchanting, absorbing surrounding sounds and creating a sense of tranquility. Inspired by misty snow, the pattern seamlessly incorporates the PGG logo. We have also captured various snow scenes: the snowfall pattern evokes the gentle descent of snowflakes from the sky, while the blizzard pattern depicts an intense snowstorm that obscures visibility. Despite being the same snow, we have expressed it in diverse variations.
GRAY
This season’s key color is gray. We are offering three shades of gray. The color resembles the layers of pure white snow, symbolizing the origin of all things. The variations in shading, influenced by the quilting stitches, fabric texture, and the interplay of light with the material, add an interesting dimension. Our classic T-shirts are now available in two new shades of gray.
FIRE PATTERN
Imagining the people who once lived in snow-covered regions, surviving harsh winters and cherishing the warmth of a fire, we used “fire” as the motif this time. The fire at the center of the home symbolizes essential energy and the flame of life for people in cold regions, something we do not want to extinguish.
SPORTS MODEL & FLEECE
The sports model features a switch structure at the body’s connecting points, designed to accommodate various expected movements. To maximize the range of motion, the connection points use a thin, soft, and stretchable material. Available in three variations: pink, navy, and snow pattern.

By sewing the smooth fabric side closer to the skin and the brushed side outward, we achieved a powdery touch, avoiding the usual bulkiness of fleece. This lightweight and durable garment has a smooth interior, making it easy to put on and take off.
KNIT & MESH FLEECE
A low-gauge knit with a relaxed silhouette made using thick yarn. By combining polyester and wool, we created a very light yet voluminous knit. When looking up at the sky in a snowy country, we found the colors in the evening sky. Inspired by the hues just before night falls after sunset, we made not only dark navy but also smoky purple.

Using mesh-knit fleece, we create a layer of air that allows wind to flow through, maintaining warmth while regulating the temperature inside the clothing.
OPEN CLOTHES
We secured the fabric at the shoulders to create a bolero-vest structure. This design allows for easier movement when rotating or twisting. Using waterproof and water-repellent fabric, this piece supports flexible body movements and protects from rain and wind. The new logo, “PGG,” tightly gathered together, serves as a unique accent, inspired by coming together in the cold.
KNIT LIKE A QUILTING
PGG’s signature polyester yarn knit. The body fabric features a pattern that resembles quilting, utilizing the puffiness and stretch of the polyester yarn. This innovative quilting method provides a fresh look and feel, ensuring a light and comfortable wearing experience.
DOWN VEST
The down vest offers lightweight comfort, ensuring a stress-free wearing experience. Designed to be worn without the need for frequent removal, it minimizes front seams to prevent the down from escaping through gaps and uses tape to secure the closure instead of a zipper. This design maintains the unique volume of the down while keeping a smooth, flat appearance. Buttons along the sides and shoulders allow for easy wear and removal without needing to pull it over your head.
OCTA
Octa, known for its excellent insulation, moisture-wicking, and breathability, is usually used as a lining fabric. However, with its smooth texture and lightweight nature, we decided to make it the star of our new outerwear. By incorporating a lot of air, it achieves both lightness and high insulation, providing warmth when stationary and allowing air to flow through when in motion. The back features a new logo inspired by the horizon of Hokkaido.
